GOALS & MISSION STATEMENT

Revised Goals and Mission Statement approved by the Delegate Assembly held in March:

MSHSCA

Goals and Purpose

The MSHSCA is a high school coaches association created and governed by Minnesota high school coaches.  The MSHSCA offers coaches a voice in current state issues. It also provides them with the finest recognition program available and a benefits package including an insurance program, an association newsletter and other corporate benefits.

Goals

  • To promote and publicize high school sports in Minnesota.

  • To recognize those men and women coaches who have dedicated their time, energy and spirit to the high school sports programs in Minnesota.

  • To offer a unified voice in Minnesota on coaching and athletic issues that affect high school athletics.

MSHSCA Mission Statement

Recognize

We recognize coaches for seasonal, academic and lifetime achievements.  Our awards include sport coaches of the year, sport assistant coaches of the year, team academic coaches of the year, state championship coaches, Hall of Fame membership and distinguished service awards.

Communicate

We provide a unified voice.  Through our Minnesota Prep Coach newspaper and our MSHSCA.org website, we offer communication tools for the coaches of Minnesota to publicize their sport.  These informative tools give coaches opportunities to promote their sport and communicate with their sport associations in regards to clinics, rules and membership.

Support

Due to our statewide scope, the MSHSCA is able to provide many areas of support for our members.  Our relationship with the Minnesota State High School League, its Board of Directors and the many committees that it offers, gives our state high school coaches a voice in the establishment of the rules and regulations of their sport groups.
